What options do I have to meet with a Cornerstone Investment Services advisor?

At Cornerstone Investment Services, there are several ways you can meet with an advisor. This could be face-to-face, over the phone, or virtually. It all depends on the complexity of your circumstances and/or personal preference.

How much does it cost to meet with an advisor?

There are no costs or obligations to meet with an advisor. All clients and prospects are urged to contact their advisor any time they feel the need. 

Is Cornerstone Investment Services affiliated with a registered investment advisor?

Yes, Cornerstone Investment Services is owned by Smith and Sons Capital Partners LLC, which is a state registered investment advisor. Additional information regarding the firm and its owners can be found in form ADV. A link to this form can be found on the "Links" page.

What types of services do you offer?

Cornerstone Investment Services offers a wide variety of services in the financial industry including helping our clients create a liquid savings account that still keeps pace with inflation, self-directed and employer sponsored retirement plans, post-retirement income, capital preservation, and more. We also offer discretionary and non-discretionary accounts.

Do you have a minimum account size?

No, Cornerstone does not have an account minimum. However, depending on the complexitity and needs regarding your specific circumstances, we do reserve the right to turn down certain clients or accounts. This allows us to focus on areas and clients in which our expertise can be leveraged efficently, something that couldn't be done if we accepted every individual who inquires about our services.

What professional registrations, licenses, and designations does your team have?

The lead advisor and founder of Cornerstone Investment Services, Hunter Smith, currently holds his MBA with specializations in accounting and finance, FINRA series 7 and 66 licenses, and numerous Wall Street Prep and Google certifications pertaining to finance and investments. All advisors within the firm are required to hold, at minimum, a bachelor's degree in finance, as well as their FINRA series 65 or 66 certifications.  Each employee of the firm has greatly exceeded the requirements to be designated as an investment advisor representative. This ensures that all clients' needs can be properly and accurately fulfilled.

Who are your clients?

Cornerstone Investment Services is equipped to serve a wide variety of individuals and organizations. Our clients consist of working professionals, single adults, parents and grandparents, working-class and affluent, employers (including sponsors of employee retirement plans), and more. In essense, they're individuals and groups that appreciate a client-driven approach to their financial life, as well as a long-term and personable relationship with their advisor.

How does Cornerstone Investment Services charge for its services?

Cornerstone Investment Services strives to be one of the only investment advisory firms that can truly put its clients' needs first. In order to do this, we do not charge for meetings, investment advice, phone calls, etc. We simply charge 1% per year for assets under managment. Not only does this make our fee structure highly competitive, but it also eliminates the incentive to favor a particular product, asset class, or security. As an advocate for our clients, we will actively work with our custodian to minimize or eliminate all trading and transaction fees associated with buying and selling securities and investments. As a result, you will recieve truly personalized investment advice and managment that is free of conflicts of interest.
